Scott and I each had a date last night, but it wasn't with each other. He took Addyson out for her birthday date. He gives the girls a coupon for dinner and a movie for their birthday, and they wait until a good movie comes out to go. They headed to the late afternoon matinee and then to dinner at Bonsai. Addyson couldn't decide what she wanted, so they ordered sweet and sour chicken, curried beef and pot stickers. They came home to find Janae and I gone out on the town ourselves. We waited until they left before heading out to eat. On the way to RS, Janae decided to go to Bonsai. (I think she picked there because she knows it is my favorite.) We tried egg drop soup, pot stickers, and sweet and sour chicken. Sound familiar? After we ate, I decided to surprise her and take her to the movie too. It was okay, but I liked the original Monsters Inc. better. Janae was excited to come home to tell Scott and Addyson what we had done. Maybe we should have just made it a family date!

Think Green
For dinner we had the girls favorite, Chicken and Pasta (alfredo sauce dyed green), green garlic rolls, raw veggies with green ranch and we washed it all down with green lemonade. For dessert we had a frozen limeade pie. Scott is not a fan of dyed food and more or less had to choke it down, but he humored us and joined in on the fun. (I should have taken a picture of the food last night, but didn't, so these are pics of the leftovers)
What color should we make the next holiday?
Yummy!

My new favorite
If you know me at all, you know that I LOVE popcorn! I have popcorn as a snack most every night. I crave the saltiness of popcorn like some crave sweet. My usual kind is Jumbo Pop, Pop Secret. I saw a new kind in a magazine and thought I would give it a shot. HOLY COW! This is the best. Lime and salt together is an awesome combination. Go ahead, give it a try and let me know what you think of it. You know you want to!
