Arrowhead Concrete Field Trip

Janae's Girl Scout troop was able to go on a field trip to a concrete plant. Her leader's husband owns it, so they were able to see things that most others don't get to.
Here is Janae talking to one of the guys in one of the trucks. "10-4. Go ahead and dump the
rest of your truck and clean it out."

The whole troop plus Jerry (aka Mr. Leslie) and Leslie.

St. Patrick's Day

We had a tricky little leprechaun stop by our house this year. We've never had one come before, so it was kind of exciting. We woke up to find all the little tricks he decided to play on us. All the girls hair things were strewn about the house, Addyson's shoes were hung up on the coat rack, the kitchen chairs were toppled over, and there were little green footprints all over the table, counters, and cupboards. He even left us a rainbow and pot of gold cookie, but not a pot of real gold! He also left a letter for us.

We like to have themed food around here, so we started it with breakfast. Green pancakes and green milk. For lunch, the girls found a sandwich with a four leaf clover imprinted, green veggies, green grapes, a green cookie and green milk. I made cookies for their classes too. Addyson had a leprechaun come to her classroom while she was out at recess and he ate 2 cookies from her tray. Sneaky little guy!!!

The leprechaun wasn't all fun and games though, he left the girls a new shirt to wear for the day. Hard to believe, but they were green!

Pastry Chef Addyson

Addyson got a cupcake maker for her birthday. We decided to try it out Sunday afternoon. Not sure how good the mixes are that you add 1 tablespoon of water to and cook in the microwave for 30 seconds, but the girls liked them.

The finished products.
