Today was Field Day at Janae's school. I signed up to be a helper with one of the stations. I got the "Find Your Shoe Relay". The kids took off 1 shoe and we put them in a pile at the end of the race course. They had to race against other teams to find their shoe, get in on and get back to let the next person go. They all seemed to have fun. I wanted to take pictures of Janae and wasn't sure how I was going to be able to. One of boys mom from Janae's class came late and didn't have a station to man. She said she was going to follow the group around and so I asked her if she would take my camera too. There are nice people out there still.
Some of the stations were:
-dress up relay
-shoe hunt relay
-limbo
-hula hoops
-jump rope -notice both feet are off the ground
-kangaroo hop-her favorite
-sack race
-dribble contest
-marshmallow launch- she's ready to catch a marshmallow
I am glad to be able to help out as much as I do at school. I like to know what's going on with my kids and be a part of their lives. I plan on volunteering at school activites and in their classes for as long as it is "cool" to have mom there.
