Halloween FHE

We decided to have a Halloween themed family home evening last week. To make it fun for the girls, we invited some others to join us. Brock, Christine, Carson, Garrett and Grandpa Smith came. We were also lucky enough to have ours friends Izzy and Deirdra join us. I made mummies for the kids to eat, which were a hit. The adults had some goblin goo, also known as chili. After dinner we had some fun games planned. We played Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin, a coin toss and wrap grandpa as a mummy. We also made some sucker ghosts. I was thinking that it was fun for the kids, when out of the blue Janae runs to her room crying on her bed because it is a boring party. After talking to her dad for a while, she came out to tell me that she understands that I had to make the games easy for the little kids. Good thing she is so grown up! I guess my idea of fun is too different from the girls. Maybe I will have to quit trying to plan things for them and let them see what boring is really like :)
