That is a great question. One I never know the answer to.
I came across this article today and thought it was great. I wish more parents agreed with this guy. Leave me a comment and let me know where you stand on discipline.

THat is a great article. I believe in general these days too many parents worry about psychlogical damage, therefore, they do not discipline at all and have bratty unruly children. kids are so smart. They know from a very young age what they can get away with. There is for sure middle ground. I agree with the form of discipline in the article. It is not mean at all. Aaron and I are strict, but fun and our kids know when we are serious not to mess around! We are far from perfect, but I think my kids are pretty well behaved.
Yes, it is too bad that more parents do not agree with "this guy", which is one reason our world is in the shape it is. John Rosemond has been one of my favorites for a long time. I am going to send you his most recent book, Parenting by The Book - Biblical Wisdom for Raising Your Child. It is full of Godly wisdom for young parents, along with a lot of good common sense
principles we can all benefit from. I will mail it out tomorrow.
K, I didn't actually read the article but since you asked "to spank or not to spank" I say not to spank! I was spanked as a child and the only thing it did for me was make me afraid of my parents. Not make me feel bad for what I did! That's just my opinion but if you want to spank, more power to ya! Ha ha! I saw your hubby at church Sunday but I didn't see you! Hopefully I will be back up there for good soon though!
I think that is a very good article. Great ideas that I am going to try.
